26 HOURS CARE ASSISTANT
Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are looking to appoint a 26 hour Care Assistant to join our existing team.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate and deliver person centred care with kindness, thoughtfulness and respect at all times.
As a Care Assistant your duties and responsibilities will include:
Providing the highest level of person centred care to all our residents.
Assist residents with all aspects their personal care whilst promoting / maintaining their independence, rights, dignity and choices.
Participate in training and staff meetings.
Delivery of end of life care in a sensitive and respectful manner at all times.
Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Have a good understanding of the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
The ideal Candidates will have the following skills and experiences:
Compassion & Empathy.
An ability to remain calm and professional when under pressure.
A positive attitude and a flexible approach (willingness to work a variety of shifts)
Flexibility and excellent communication skills with individuals from all walks of life.
Hold an SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care.
Have a minimum of one years experience in supporting older people in a care setting.
