Role Overview & Responsibilities

Hi! We're Babycare of Dagenham and we're looking for a new member to add to our team.

Having been in the nursery business for over 40 years our main objective is to give the customer the best experience from purchase to collection and customer service is very important to us.

We're looking for a self-motivated, friendly, responsible, professional and reliable individual who's duties will involve:

- Assisting customers find the items best suited to them, in store and via phone

Every customer has different requirements depending on lifestyle, budget, ect. Training on the prams and car seats will be provided. You will need to have good communication skills and be keen to learn new products.

- Cleaning and maintaining our show room.

It's very important to us our store is clean and tidy at all times. With 100's of products on display these need to be kept clean, organized and well presented.

- Taking deliveries and organizing stock

We're very lucky to be a busy store with goods always coming in and out of our doors. You will need to help us take the deliveries in, pick items and put them away for customers and assist them to their vehicles. Some of these items are heavy.

- Taking orders and writing receipts

All customer orders are handwritten so good reading and writing skills are required.

It is essential you are reliable and willing to work as we are a small team.

Experience in the nursery world is not necessary, however if you have worked at Mothercare, John Lewis, Smyths please do let us know. Previous experience in retail would be an advantage.

No day is the same at Babycare of Dagenham so you will need to be ready to take a variety of tasks!

Our opening hours are 09.30 to 17.30 Monday-Saturday. You will be needed to work 2 full week days + Saturday with potential for more day in the future.

Salary: £8.50-£11.00 per hour
